Comments for break time for nursing mothers

The recent amendment to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires employers to provide reasonable break time and a place for nursing mothers to pump for one year after
their child’s birth.

The government is asking for comments on how to improve the compliance standards for what is considered reasonable break time, creative ways to comply with the new standards (for example, if you work off site with clients – like a photographer…), and how to make sure that those companies with smaller than 50 employees would really be unable to comply (I know a few that work for companies like this!). Luckily for me, my company is very open and accommodating for nursing mothers. But there are a lot that are not! So please read and comment by Feb 22.!documentDetail;D=WHD-2010-0003-0001
